Unfortunately this is all above my head and I'd be eternally grateful for some advice RE the settings below. I believe he is using the latest MC for Solidworks X8 and assured me it is the exact same thing as the standalone version of MC X8 - whatever that means (I lost faith in IT/software years ago loll). That didn't work :/ Also made sure the Option is set to 5 axis and not 3 axis in Verify. We found the *xml in the My MC folder and changed "Forced 5axis=FALSE" to TRUE. Could someone please explain why the Transform/Rotate feature of the machine simulation doesn't work. True? I am not a CAM expert and only seen Mastercam when it was still at its infantry. That said he has to handcode all of the operations (4th axis) individually using multiple WCS and that, COST ME about 30% more for the CAM work + Sim :/ wtf etcĪpparently the mastercam virtual machine simulation doesn't work with the "Transform/Rotate" feature of mastercam - as my freelancer here put it. I thought maybe seeing/having proven machine sim could limit the possibility of crashes, etc. Needless to say that whatever will need to go inside that high speed milling machine will need to, at least, pass Machine Simulation before. The reason I've asked for this is because the machine I am getting has 60m/min rapids and using all sort of fixtures. Just purchased a new machine and asked my CAM freelancer to re-write most of my parts to accommodate this new machine and fixtures.
